Job Description
Assist in cleaning and maintaining district facilities on an as-needed basis to support a safe,
clean, and functional environment for students, staff, and visitors. Substitute custodians perform
routine custodial duties and may assist with basic maintenance tasks as assigned.
Essential Duties & Requirements
• Follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning, maintenance, and safety
procedures
• Perform routine cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom
sanitation
• Assist with basic building and grounds upkeep as needed
• Safely operate custodial and cleaning equipment
• Properly handle, store, and use cleaning supplies and chemicals
• Lift, move, or carry equipment and supplies as required
• Maintain a professional and dependable presence while working independently or with
minimal supervision
Preferred Skills & Abilities
• Ability to work flexible or on-call schedules
• Attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and district policies
• Previous custodial, maintenance, or facilities experience preferred but not required
